গণগ্রন্থাগারটি খোলা থাকে প্রতি শনিবার থেকে বুধবার সকাল ৯টা থেকে বিকেল ৫টা পর্যন্ত এবং গণগ্রন্থাগারটি বন্ধ থাকে প্রতি বৃহস্পতিবার ও শুক্রবারসহ সরকার ঘোষিত অন্যান্য সরকারি ছুটির দিনসমূহে।

Chronicle
1. Infrastructural development:

Under the project titled 'Development of Six District Public Libraries' under the implementation of the Department of Public Libraries, activities are being conducted in its own three-storey building with a six-storey foundation.

2. Textbook collection

There is a huge collection of more than 26,431 textbooks from birth to present.
3. ICT activities:

Readers are getting free internet and computer services. In 2016-17, the government has created its own website for public library A2I - http://publiclibrary.kushtia.gov.bd. In addition, the email address librarian.dgplkushtia@gmail.com and the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/dgplkushtia have been opened to provide online information services to the readers.

4. Private Public Library Registration:

At present there are 34 listed private public libraries under this public library.
